Honey Creek Lodge
The Owner/Operator of Honey Creek Lodge is Terry Jordan, Award-Winning Piano Entertainer and Recording Artist. In an interview he said:
Originally one of the Cabin Resorts that sprang up when Pensacola Dam created the Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees in the early 1940’s, the property had fallen into ruins by 1987 and left abandoned. Still, beyond the dilapidation, I could see potential and forgotten glory. A friend exclaimed, ‘Are you crazy?!!…its a junkyard!’. I bought it anyway, and have enjoyed every year of renovation. FINALLY IT’S READY TO SHARE! Now everyone who sees the place is speechless – the beautiful 2-story Barnwood walls, real wood floors of Brazilian Mahogany and Native Oaks, towering ceiling heights and walls of windows, Balcony Library and spacious themed bedrooms. With expansive views of Honey Creek, the nightlights view of Honey Creek Bridge plus the Grove cityscape is especially stunning. Beach your boat at the shoreline, play games down by the lakefront, walk to the middle of the bridge for a Sunset view, or snuggle up and chill out inside by the fireplace — there’s something for everyone at Honey Creek Lodge.
Within walking distance are Marinas, Restaurants, Clubs, Dairy Queen, Walmart, and Motels. Considered the ‘middle’ of Grand Lake, its 30 minutes or less to anything North or South on Grand — Shangri La Golf Course, Cherokee and Arrowhead Yacht Clubs, The Coves, two Grand Lake Casinos (there are 19 casinos within 30 miles of Grove!), Lendonwood Gardens, historic Cayuga Mission Church, Darrell Starbird’s Hot Rod Museum…. the list of things to do and sights to see goes on and on!!! Grove is recognized as one of the Top Ten Best Places To Retire In America.
